"Charting the Course" A Guide to Assist Youth with LD

Charting the Course cover image

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth created a guide titled, "Charting the Course: Supporting the Career Development of Youth with Learning Disabilities." This guide, which uses universal design strategies and approaches, provides "types and impact of learning disabilities, needed supports, and research-based interventions." Practitioners, administrators, transition programs, youth employment programs, and policymakers in secondary and post-secondary education programs can use this guide as a tool to help improve services and outcomes for youth who have learning disabilities, although the services can help those with undiagnosed learning disabilities as well. Many youth have not yet been diagnosed with a learning disability and this guide increase awareness of this fact.
